Malay Part 4 - iMdriven, the best travel provider in Malaysia, so we say.

Now that the first stay had been sorted, it was the next enquiry to Ms. Esther, (mentioned in the previous post) if they would provide airport pickup. Well , they doesn't do that, but could always arrange it for us. Fair enough. And thats how this group comes into picture.

Mr. Tony , of iMDriven, his luxury MUV and our men
 iMdriven, was suggested by her.

Tony..is the name to go for. He would write us an email introducing themselves , the rates and their service details. All details provided seemed right..and even through email enquiry, we could feel the genuine air around their service.

A glance on their fb page, did give more confidence...thanks to the positive reviews his customers had written. He would give suggestions on some strategic places to visit..especially where to have the food halts. He was prompt to pick us up and interesting to watch was how he pushed the big trolley with our bags soo smoothly onto the escalator going down , in the airport. He would arrange for us a simcard, and icy cold water was always in supply throughout the travel.

So that was it . Mr.Tony !!! With our boys... during all our travel deals around Malay land .

He would be a great company to dH. Lots and lots of talks....from politics..Malay and Indian....to arranged marriage...they never had a moment of silence. A store house of knowledge...we too learned a lot about Malaysia. It history...geography....peoples chemistry....

And interestingly to both us ,and to him..we came to know…that Prime Minister in Malay and Malayalam, is the same !! Pradhana Manthri.

And for my part..a good insight into their cuisine as well. The three different cuisines there - Traditional Malay, Malay Chinese, Malay Chettinad. How they evolved....the history of food....

All our food halts were left to him. He would take us to traditional Malay restaurant one day...Malay Chinese the next, and even suggest where we need to go, when we were not with him !!

Read more about the food experience "here" on my Quick Picks .

Thats our boy. No.1 at the National Monument. Some history of the freedom fight .

Discussing the next places to visit while he was about to take leave, on an other errand. We said good by there....after three days of his excellent service, before heading to singapore...but to meet again after five days on returning back to KL, for our return flight.

The boys really loved this good man, and thats them running to their "Tony uncle" when he came to visit us during the last day of our travel..back to Malaysia from Singapore. We had to return the sim card back to him, and he would come to collect it form us, at the Batu Caves, which we had planned to visit.

And he even offered to pay back the amount which was remaining in the sim !! Not all people do that. We   politely rejected the offer anyways..but he would buy fish feed for the kids to feed the fishes in the pond at the  cave premises, and  ice-creams for the boys...

I love this click !! Stefan...when he met him .

So, our whole hearted recommendation for any travel deals in Malaysia…this is the person !

May 21, 1991 & Indira Gandhi Memorial, a photolog.

Sriperumbudur, a village approximately 40 km (30 miles) from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Assassinated while campaigning for the Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha Congress candidate. The killing was carried out due to personal animosity of the LTTE chief Prabhakaran towards Gandhi arising out of his sending the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) to Sri Lanka and the alleged IPKF atrocities against Sri Lankan Tamils.

It didnt take much time for this crisp pure white kurta to turn into a blood stained blown out bits and pieces...

Had  visited the Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum, during our visit to Delhi last october, and sharing here some of the images .

So far..yet too dear.

What Hurt The Most

What hurt the most...
Was loving you so much,
But that not being enough.
What hurt the most...
Was watching you walk away,
And knowing my chance was ruined.
What hurt the most...
Was having you so close,
But not close enough.
What hurts the most...
Is watching you kiss and talk about another girl.
What hurts the most...
Is knowing I can never have you, but
What hurts more than anything else...
Is knowing that I had you.

a borrowed poem, written by Amy Nelligan

                                                        ************************
Reached office today to see one of our collegue weeping badly at her desk. She wore no make up,  wore an Abhaya and looked pale, unlike othes days, when she would be in yellow, or other bright colours.

I kindof guessed what the reason could be...but definitely was not courageous enough to ask her thou. Her husband, was terribly sick, of cancer ..and was at death bed...and the very first day, i remember, she got a call from the hospital letting her know about it..she was broken.

But, what touched me more..was they were divorced long time back...was not in touch...according to her, she was always mis-treated, abused ..yet..yet...

He was her kids Father, and the hidden love, still lingered.

Touched ! Really touched !

May God bless the departed soul.

Very pleasantly happie-me

(disclaimer - the posts in here under the label head "musings" are not specifically directed to any reader review or comments. It's just that when I feel like writing down something, i just turn up here..on this blogpage of mine, and jot it down. Just dont want to miss out on those which I would like to cherish ... Terribly bad memeory loss, got to admit, so i need to keep things somewhere, for a refresh click...in the long run)

Well.its the same scenario repeating. Bad tough day..... hectic at work..physically tired..mentally low ..... turned bright just out of nowhere.

Chain (bigg one), bracelet, earing, keychain, purse and a certified Papyrus painting !!!!  ....all from someone whom I mean absoltely nothing more than an other new staff for whom she clears the HR formalities.

Between two people who could never communicate in spoken language, I could make out neither a single word that she spoke in very rapid conventional Egyptian Arabic, nor did she speak a word of English either.

She is the senior most in the Personal (HR) Department here, and me being a very new staff, had to meet with her quite a number of times to get my formalities done. I had an other collegue come with me as the translator..but...think our faces always knew the language..not the spoken words..but just a smile, and a "Hello, How are you" in english from myself and she greets in her own rapidly spoken words. Give and take.

I met her at the passage to my desk, she was walking in..i was walking out. We just shared a Hai and a smile, and I was about to walk off too tied up with some urgent works, when she becons me to my desk and silently hands over this kit. I couldn't follow what she spoke...but believe, it was in lines of.."I brought these for you, from Egypt ". (the word Egypt. That, i understood).

Felt touched...really touched... you really made my day, Ma'am !!!

Thanks a bunch Lord..you know how to sent angels down in plain clothes, when we definitely need a boost.

The previous posts in the very similar sequence - this , a comment from a co-blogger friend of mine, and this again..a simple phrase, by my little one who was just 3 yr old then.

A much better day today...

What goes around..comes around !

Spread a smile. You never know...one day, it will come back to you, to make you smile..when you are feeling low.

KARMA !!, I believe in you...

After taking around 20 mins "+1"(hour, to be specific) than the normal 20 mins drive to reach my office from home..the new driver in me had a hell of a time, and few other nick nacks..like sick kid back home..new housemaid...he locking himself at home while the maid goes downstairs to drop our 3rd son to the schoolbus...phone not being answered.... just got to my desk feeling crap and telling myself..."wow!! indeed a classic start a new work week !"
.................................

"....I had read somewhere that it is a bit of a task to make someone laugh or atleast smile. You do that everytime through your post with such an ease. Always look forward for your funny aspects to everyday things. Good job girl!!!"

  ..................................

That was a portion from a comment that I received on one of my posts on Quick Picks and it was dated few days back, but, was it just coincidence that this was the first thing that caught my eye, when I opened up my inbox ? I had missed this comment, and saw it only now.

Shibi....thanks very very much for that. You have no clue, but...you just made my day ! Am happy that I could bring in a smile to your face and today, you have just paid me back with interest, when I was definitely lacking those. Thanks a bunch, sweetheart !

Today is way past June 15th, but yet...please make yourself at ease...push off all that disturbances for a while to the backburner....feel free to take one of those...

It is, for FREE...and the offer never expires !

Thanks Lord ! If , in the above scenario..You make me consider myself blessed, to be an artist and not sick....to date. Amen.

And, I am no joker...I am just blessed. I'll keep it that way.

Think we definitely need some stickeys like this around. Very inspirational.

Too many things about smiles and laughter..so, as a closing note...i'll keep that frowny lad for now to say..catch you later.

Have a great day ahead !!
