Legoland Miniland - Asian and Starwars @Legoland Malaysia.

The centerpiece of every Legoland Park is the Miniland. Made of more than 30 million Lego bricks , it has taken three years to recreate some of Asia’s best known landmarks in DETAILED miniature, in the Malaysian Park . And yes..i repeat that word in BOLD . Such amazing  DETAILING !!!

From the curls on the girls hairs,  to the artifical lawn patched in between real grass...every minut thing about this Mini land is worth a lot of applause !!

With scenes from 17 asisan countries – The Petronas, The Merlion, Taj Mahal, the whole of Miniland is animated and the website says that models come to live with the touch of a button. Well..we didnt know that, and didnt happen to see the button at all locations, but be it moving or stationary..it is definitely worth a visit.
And with my husband taking the kids off to the playarea and a train ride, i got quite some time to wander aorund by myself around the whole place, scrutinising each mini architecture...and to set dreaming.

Wow..a dream career, would it be..to be working on such projects!!!

Starting with the Indian icon ...... (click on the images for a larger view )

This is , thankfully indoors,  fully airconditioned  and features seven scenes from the six Star Wars films and The Clone Wars animated series in great detail. In total, the attraction features more than 2,000 LEGO models built to a 1:20 scale using 1.5 million LEGO bricks.

The model display also feature authentic Star Wars™ sounds, actions and lighting effects to create a realistic and enjoyable experience for the whole family. All the models for this project were built in various locations around the world including Malaysia, Germany and Czech Republic.

The exhibit is made up of seven rooms each depicting scenes from each Star Wars movie, in chronological order. The first one you’ll walk into, based on Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, with the majestic Naboo Royal Palace looming over the Battle of Naboo between the Naboo, Gungans and the battle droids’ of the Trade Federation.

Subsequent rooms will take you to Geonosis (from Episode II: Attack Of The Clones), Kashyyk and Mustafar (Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith), Tatooine (Episode IV: A New Hope), Hoth (Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back), Endor (Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi), and finally, Christophsis (from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated feature).

Well..personally, I have got absolutely no clue on these side. Not the least interested in the stuff of shows..so cant give much details on the chareacters, The text above..well..just got those from the Legoland page :P

They entire set is animated, with light , sound and movement, with the press of a button.

In one word..a very interesting set for the StarWars fans !! They would love it here, for sure.

On more details, about the rest of Legoland, how to get there, the hotel rates and offers ,when to consider booking to get the best deals....in detail in the next post .
